Thank u for this article! We have a terrible infestation of mites and are looking for a homemade treatment. We just so happen to have coconut oil in bulk. We are going to make a homemade concoction containing coconut oil and tea tree oil to get rid of these pesky buggers !
I will update in 2 to 3 days

    1. Fola says:

      Hi Ashley.

Any update on how this has gone for you? Been battling with mites infestation all over my body for months now. Did this combo work?

    2. Virginia says:

Awe, I just thought of that too! I was yucked when I learned the demodex comes out from the hair follicles to the scalp- to mate. If they come out to a pool of coconut oil and tea tree oil- it’s not going to be good for them.

    3. Lynnann Griffin says:

      1. sepideh-ozidex says:

        Hi Lynnann,
I hope you’re fine. This product definitely works to remove Demodex mites. But you have to use it for 3-4 months and every night. You can see the ingredients here, but I’m not sure of details.

Water (Aqua), Polysorbate 20, Glycerin, Geraniol, Cocos Nucifera -Coconut- Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol

        1. Cynthia Gilstrap says:

Thank you for the ingredient list. “It’s a battle” I have experimented b/c of financial reasons. I am disabled & poor. Here’s all I’ve tried & still using.
Baking soda sprinkled around & occasional bath.
          Clorox bleach in spray bottle.
Apple cider vinegar also spray bottle & ditto bath
Vaseline rubbed on skin smothers them out of pores
Very important that they retreat into pores with light & come out in darkness.
Aloe vera I mix tea tree oil with
          Elderberry herb
Lemon juice spray bottle for skin
          Milk thistle herb
          Apple cider vinegar capsules
          Tumeric curcumin capsules
          Avoid sugary, oily foods
          Eye drops
There’s many more herbs. Avoiding sugary foods but I do indulge in garlic cloves soaked in honey, I put in jar cloves, cover with honey & add more cloves over time. The older soaked cloves are apparent & I eat them first chewing really well. Could dice or cut etc.
